Our most recent visit to Walt Disney World included a stay in a studio villa at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. These rooms are a part of the Disney Vacation Club “side” at the Boardwalk, but are definitely not limited to those in the Disney Vacation Club. These rooms can be booked the same as any other and are considered Deluxe Villas. We opted to receive a text when our room was ready and were pleasantly surprised to get the notification shortly… Read more »

When we visit Walt Disney World, we always stay at a Disney resort. The extra benefits of being onsite (like complimentary transportation and extra-magic hours) and constantly amongst the Disney magic is must-do for us. On a recent trip, I had the opportunity to stay in what is perhaps the most royally perfect room in all of the resorts! This particular room is called a Royal Room and is available at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort.     Though the room… Read more »

Many years ago, a little over seven to be exact, my husband and I traveled often. Well, we still travel often, but back then it was just the two of us. On those trips, I could eat my entire meal, while it was still warm, at my leisure. We could do daring excursions like zip lining through the rainforest in Jamaica or snorkeling in the Caymans. We could stay up as late as we wanted and sleep in as late as we pleased. You… Read more »

While staying at Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows, we had an amazing view of Magic Kingdom, as well as the newest Bora Bora Bungalows that were added along the beach and over the water at the resort. You can see my review our our Deluxe Studio Villa here. While we didn’t have nearly enough Disney Vacation Club points (or dollars) to stay in the bungalows, I was able to take a tour of one. These tours are offered daily at various times…. Read more »

It is no secret that Disney’s Hollywood Studios is undergoing a major overhaul. I have recently noticed many people questioning whether they should skip a visit to this particular park until the new Star Wars and Toy Story lands are completed. And while I will miss the closed attractions (see my article on saying goodbye here), I am still a huge fan of Hollywood Studios. So, should you still consider using a day of your Walt Disney World vacation at Hollywood… Read more »

Our family enjoys Epcot and all it has to offer. Typically, I have our days scheduled to the minute. We try to squeeze everything in. However, on our last trip to Walt Disney World, we did plan our morning at Epcot but left the evening free. No plans, no schedule. And I must admit, we loved it! We started our morning with a pre-park opening breakfast at Akershus. Following our meal, which was a fun and delicious way to start… Read more »

Our family absolutely loves Star Wars. The upcoming additions to the Disney parks have expanded our excitement levels to galaxies far, far away, and we were thrilled to check out the new Star Wars Launch Bay area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on our last visit. The area did not disappoint. Upon entering Hollywood Studios, we headed straight for the Launch Bay. As we approached the entrance, several Storm Troopers were patroling the premises. This built up the excitement even more,… Read more »

Though I adore dining at Walt Disney World and consider it one of the highlights of each trip, I have never found a dining location I truly love at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Granted we have yet to try 50s Prime Time Cafe, which seems to get outstanding reviews, the overall themes of other restaurants just don’t appeal to me as much as other character dining locations in other resorts and parks, and our all-time favorite, ‘Ohana. However, when Hollywood &… Read more »

Some of the greatest joys at Walt Disney World are snacks! Yes, snacks. I look forward to my favorites as much as I do a ride on Big Thunder Mountain, it’s a small world, or Expedition Everest. Whether you have snack credits on a Disney dining plan, or simply pay out of pocket, here are my favorite, not-to-be-missed snacks at Walt Disney World and where you can find them. And no worries about those calories, you will walk for miles… Read more »

Years ago, a little girl climbed onto the monorail at Walt Disney World, eyes wide and nose pressed against the glass as she began her journey to her first visit in a Disney park. While her sights were set on Cinderella’s Castle, which she could see in the distance, she couldn’t help but look in amazement at the thatched roofs of the buildings the monorail zoomed by. The building looked enchantingly dark, tropical, and somewhat magical, and the little girl… Read more »
