I took my first Disney Cruise nearly eighteen years ago. Since that first sailing, I was hooked. Always a Disney fan, the Disney Cruise Line does not disappoint- making every moment just as magical (and definitely more relaxing) than the parks. Since that first sailing, we have been on many cruise lines (many we have loved), but Disney holds the number one spot for me.     If you are new to cruising, considering your first, or if you are an… Read more »

Our most recent visit to Walt Disney World included a stay in a studio villa at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. These rooms are a part of the Disney Vacation Club “side” at the Boardwalk, but are definitely not limited to those in the Disney Vacation Club. These rooms can be booked the same as any other and are considered Deluxe Villas. We opted to receive a text when our room was ready and were pleasantly surprised to get the notification shortly… Read more »

Recently, I decided to become a travel agent. It came with much thought and consideration, and in all honesty, I should have pursued this years ago. When asked to describe things I love, traveling is always in the top three. Over the years, I have been fortunate to see many great places and experience many things, but my love for finding new adventures makes me realize just how much of the world is still out there to explore. Nothing can… Read more »

The first stop on our Alaskan cruise was in Juneau. Not only was it great to wake up to some beautiful scenery, we were excited for our day’s activities. On this particular stop, our group of eight had differing interests. The guys wanted to go salmon fishing, while others wanted to whale watch. My children would not have enjoyed either or endured the many hours the excursions lasted, so we opted to all go our separate ways and try out… Read more »

In all of our cruise travels, we have splurged once on a balcony room and a few times on an oceanview (usually a round porthole or window). Typically, we like to save money on our room, since we are only in there to get cleaned up and sleep, and mostly opt for an inside stateroom.  I am most often asked if the staterooms on cruises are small. Well, yes they are. However, up to this point with our two children… Read more »

Our family traded in our usual swimsuits and flip-flops or theme park attire and had an adventure unlike any we have experienced before. Instead of basking in the sun on a beach, splashing in the ocean or riding Big Thunder Mountain at Walt Disney World for the fifth time of the day, we bundled up, pulled on our gloves and toboggans, and experienced some of the most beautiful sites to be seen. Our week was spent exploring the beauty of… Read more »

It is currently 1:30 a.m. in whatever time zone I am in. Honestly, I have lost track since we have switched back and forth nearly five or six times. I am wide awake. We are on a huge cruise ship, but it feels as though we are on a tiny fishing boat being tossed about in the ocean. The water here (somewhere along the Canadian coastline) is rough- really rough. In fact, in the approximate 15 cruises (adding at this… Read more »

Traveling is definitely something I adore. I love the planning, the scheduling, the researching, and most of all, the going! I have traveled most of my life, and I credit my parents for instilling the “wandering” need that I have. I worried that once I had children I might have to put traveling on the back burner. Instead, we decided to continue on with our travels, children in tow. And what amazing experiences we have had!     This month, we… Read more »

On our most recent visit to the Orlando area, our family spent a day visiting SeaWorld. This park has long been on my list of things to see due to my love for the ocean and all the living things within it. I have had a slight dolphin obsession since childhood that hasn’t seen much of a decrease.     As with all new adventures, I had researched this park for hours. Honestly, I couldn’t find a ton of reviews, so… Read more »

Some of the greatest joys at Walt Disney World are snacks! Yes, snacks. I look forward to my favorites as much as I do a ride on Big Thunder Mountain, it’s a small world, or Expedition Everest. Whether you have snack credits on a Disney dining plan, or simply pay out of pocket, here are my favorite, not-to-be-missed snacks at Walt Disney World and where you can find them. And no worries about those calories, you will walk for miles… Read more »
