Our most recent visit to Walt Disney World included a stay in a studio villa at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas. These rooms are a part of the Disney Vacation Club “side” at the Boardwalk, but are definitely not limited to those in the Disney Vacation Club. These rooms can be booked the same as any other and are considered Deluxe Villas. We opted to receive a text when our room was ready and were pleasantly surprised to get the notification shortly after lunch.
The studio villa was spacious and accommodates five. The colors were pleasant, and felt fresh and new after a recent refurbishment.
The bed was quite comfy. The couch has a pull out bed, and the table holds a pull-down trundle bed. The background preciously depicts a sleeping Dumbo and Timothy Mouse. I loved this nod to Disney!
A small kitchenette area features a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee pot and sink. Paper plates, bowls, cups and utensils were provided. This area would be convenient for longer stay or to prepare a quick and easy meal in the room.
The bathroom area is large and includes the closet (ours had an iron/ironing board and crib) and seperate vanity area.
Our studio was a garden/pool view room, and we clearly had a great view of the pool area. Personally, I am not a fan of the clown slide, but the area was welcoming and seemed to have plenty of chairs to accommodate the crowd. The small balcony included two chairs and a small table and a few short bushes provided a barrier for our ground-floor room.
Overall, we loved our stay at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas and enjoyed the studio. My only complaint was the lack of Disney details you typically find throughout the rooms. Aside from the Dumbo illustration inside the trundle, there were no other touches of Disney. Since we were two adults, this was fine for us, but my children would probably enjoy a bit more Disney.
Have you visited Disney’s Boardwalk? What did you think of the rooms?
